Climb Hire: A California IT bootcamp that gets you job-ready quickly

IT bootcamp training
Climb Hire offers a fully remote IT Support program for low-income California residents who want to begin stable, well-paid tech careers. Our program is open to residents of San Francisco, Contra Costa, Alameda, Marin, Sonoma, Santa Clara, Napa, and San Mateo counties.
Free training for all students
Government funding and nonprofit partnerships allow us to offer our IT bootcamp completely free for eligible California residents. We also cover the cost of CompTIA A+ certification, the credential employers look for to confirm you have the skills for entry-level IT roles.
Job-search support
Beyond technical training, our bootcamp includes personalized career and professional development, including resume help, interview prep, and one-on-one coaching to help you land a job. Over 80% of our graduates land full-time roles within a year of finishing the program.

Climb Hire's IT support bootcamp

Our six-month IT Support bootcamp program fully prepares you for CompTIA A+ certification and entry-level IT roles. The curriculum helps beginners quickly build the fundamental IT skills through step-by-step learning, live instruction, and consistent practice:

  • Build practical IT skills to troubleshoot hardware, software, devices, and cybersecurity-related issues
  • Learn core concepts in operating systems, networking, cloud computing, and virtualization
  • Complete hands-on projects that mirror real-world IT workplace scenarios
  • Earn a second credential—the Google IT Support Professional Certificate—to strengthen your resume even further
Training is delivered through live, online classes taught by expert instructors, so you can ask questions and get immediate feedback instead of navigating self-paced videos on your own. Between classes and homework, you can expect to dedicate about 20 hours per week to the program.

Job placement support

Technical skills are just one piece of breaking into IT. That’s why our bootcamp includes end-to-end job search support:

  • Six months of one-on-one coaching with a dedicated Career Development Advisor
  • Help crafting a polished resume, refining your online presence, and building a clear elevator pitch
  • Access to exclusive job listings, application tracking tools, and networking opportunities through our Alumni Job Portal
  • A 12-month LinkedIn Premium membership to help you grow your network and connect directly with recruiters and hiring managers
You’ll finish the program with the certification, confidence, and support system needed to land your first IT role.

Additional support for your success

We understand that life circumstances can make it difficult to commit to training. To help you stay focused, we provide additional support beyond the classroom.

We’ve partnered with SNAP to help address food insecurity—an issue many Climbers have identified as a major barrier to completing training. We’re also exploring expanded support options, including childcare resources, internet assistance, and accommodations for learners who need alternative learning or testing environments.
