We offer an IT training and certification course specifically for low-income individuals across Colorado. Our fully remote program allows you to participate from anywhere in the state—whether you live in a major city or a rural community.
Fully funded, including exams
Our course is offered at no cost to you, thanks to funding from nonprofits and public programs, such as Mackenzie Scott's Yield Giving. We also cover the cost of CompTIA A+ certification and the Google IT Support Professional Certificate—two industry-standard credentials.

Our program includes personalized career coaching, mock interviews, and job search support to help you confidently enter the tech workforce. More than 80% of our alumni secure entry-level roles within a year of completing the course.

Train and get certified through Climb Hire's IT Support program

Climb Hire’s IT Support program gives Colorado residents the training and credentials to step right into entry-level tech roles. Over six months, you’ll prepare for both CompTIA A+ certification and the Google IT Support Professional Certificate.

  • Build a foundation in networking, cybersecurity, operating systems, and cloud technologies.
  • Diagnose and solve hardware and software issues, just like you would on the job.
  • Complete guided projects that simulate real-world IT tasks.
  • Prepare for the CompTIA A+ certification exams (Core 1: 220-1101 and Core 2: 220-1102).
  • Climb Hire covers the full cost of your certification exams—which would normally cost you over $500.
Our live, online classes are led by experienced instructors who ensure you're fully prepared to pass the exams and thrive as an IT professional.

Who can join?

To be eligible for Climb Hire’s IT support program, applicants need to meet the following criteria:

  • Aged between 24 and 40 years old
  • Annual income of $30k or less
  • Residency within Colorado or California
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Ability to dedicate about 20 hours per week over six months, including roughly 9 hours of live online instruction
  • Access to a computer with a webcam and microphone (or headset)

The LIFT IT Training Program at Goodwill Colorado offers free, self-paced hybrid learning courses in Denver and Colorado Springs. They also include technical IT skills, soft skills, and career assistance. Students can work toward certifications like CompTIA Security+, A+, Network+, and CySA+.
ActivateWork
Based in Denver, ActivateWork is a nonprofit that offers free hybrid tech training programs. Their IT support course is specifically tailored toward passing the CompTIA A+ exams, requiring a substantial 60-hour weekly commitment. Gain hands-on experience with IT tools and receive career guidance.
New Horizons
New Horizons offers a range of short IT courses in Colorado Springs, including Cisco, Microsoft, and CompTIA certifications. Their instructor-led training focuses on hands-on learning and professional development.

Ascendient Learning offers IT skills training programs to learners across Colorado, with both online and onsite classes available. In-person sessions are held in Denver only. Courses cover areas like IT support, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and Microsoft technologies, leading to related industry-standard certifications.
Tech Sherpas 365
TechSherpas 365 offers various IT certification courses in Denver, Colorado Springs, and Centennial, with flexible learning options, including live online, on-demand, and in-person classes. Training focuses on areas like Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, cybersecurity, and more. 
Colorado Springs Tech Academy
Through ACI learning, Colorado Springs Tech Academy offers three IT training tracks: Computer User Support Specialist, IT Support Specialist, and Network Technician. Programs last from 5-11 weeks and include expert mentor support, one certification exam voucher, and access to AI job tools and live career coaching.
IT training programs at Colorado colleges and universities
Many colleges and universities throughout the state of Colorado offer short-term IT certificate programs that focus on practical, career-ready skills.
Colorado State University
CSU offers a six-month, self-paced, virtual CompTIA A+ Certification Training program, which includes the cost of the certification exam vouchers. Training covers hardware, software, troubleshooting, and other IT support fundamentals to directly prepare you for certification and entry-level roles in information technology.
Community College of Denver
Through CCD, you can take IT certificate courses in areas like cybersecurity, data analytics, and computer support. Programs can be completed in 12 months or less and are available both online and on campus in Denver.
Colorado Mesa University
CMU offers three IT certificate tracks: Help Desk Technician, Network Technician, and Computer Repair Technician. Coursework takes 16-40 credit hours and aligns with certifications like Cisco CCNA and CompTIA A+/N+. At least half of coursework must be taken at CMU or CMU Tech in Grand Junction.
Arapahoe Community College
ACC offers short-term IT certificates in Computer Information Systems, Computer Technician Programs, and Computer Network Technology. Programs require from 18-27 credits. You can take classes online or at ACC campuses in Littleton, Castle Rock, and Douglas County.
