Thanks to government funding and grants we receive from nonprofits, we’re able to offer our IT training completely free. We also pay for all certification exams, including CompTIA A+ and Google IT Support Professional.

IT Support with Climb Hire

Our IT Support program prepares Denver and Colorado residents for immediate employment in tech roles.

During the 6-month training, you’ll prepare for CompTIA A+, a widely recognized IT certification.

Throughout the program, you will:

  • Develop troubleshooting skills for tech and security issues
  • Master computer systems, networking, cloud computing, and more
  • Complete hands-on projects for real-world experience
  • Graduate with Google IT Support Professional Certificate (optional)
Our learning format includes live, instructor-led online classes, which means you'll receive direct support from an industry professional and immediate answers to your technical questions.

We partner with SNAP to address food security—a primary obstacle reported by our Climbers. We’re also working to add childcare assistance, learning accommodation testing, and internet access to our offerings.

Prerequisites

To join our IT program, you must:

  • Live in Colorado or California
  • Be 24-40 years old
  • Earn $30k or less annually
  • Be authorized to work in the US
  • Have access to a computer with a webcam and microphone
  • Commit 20 hours weekly for six months (9 classroom hours and 11 hours on assignments)

This Denver nonprofit provides free hybrid tech training courses, often including IT support. Courses are offered based on local employer needs. Students receive hands-on experience and career coaching. A rigorous 60-hour weekly commitment is required to qualify.
Ascendient Learning
Ascendient Learning offers many information technology and digital skills courses, including data science, artificial intelligence, programming languages like Python, and cloud-based platforms like AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Microsoft Power BI. All programs are virtual and available to Denver residents.
Goodwill Colorado
Goodwill Colorado's LIFT IT Training Program offers self-paced, hybrid certification courses in Denver and Colorado Springs, preparing students for credentials like CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, and CompTIA CySA+. Courses are hybrid with hands-on workshops, soft skills training, and career support.
Learning Tree
Learning Tree offers in-person IT and Management Training at the Denver Education Center in Aurora. In this three-day intensive course, you’ll learn IT fundamentals while also building essential business skills in a hands-on, distraction-free learning environment.
ACI Learning
Through ACI Learning, you can enroll in 3 to 10-week training programs. Courses are available in-person or online—an in-person option is offered in Denver. Courses include hands-on labs, one free certification exam attempt per class, and professional development services to help you land an entry-level role.

Some colleges and universities in Denver also offer short-term IT certificate programs:
Community College of Denver (CCD)
CCD offers several IT certificate programs, including cybersecurity, data analytics, and computer service and support. All courses can be completed in under a year and are either available on campus or online.
National American University
The National American University in Denver offers a fully online Network and Server Administrator Certificate program. To graduate, you'll need to complete 36 credit hours.
Red Rocks Community College
Located in Lakewood, Red Rocks Community College offers IT certificate programs in fields like computer science, cybersecurity, and networking. Courses may be on-site or remote.
Metropolitan State University of Denver
MSU Denver offers Introduction to Cybersecurity, a self-paced, online course that can be completed in four to eight weeks. It covers the basics of cybersecurity, including common attack methods and cryptography.
Arapahoe Community College
ACC offers three IT certificate programs: Computer Information Systems, Computer Network Technology, and Computer Technician. The programs take 18 to 27 credit hours to complete. You can take courses online or in person at the Littleton, Castle Rock, or DCSD campus.
