Boulder computer training
Climb Hire offers free, hands-on computer training to help Boulder residents—and others across Colorado—build meaningful careers in tech. We work with low-income adults who are ready to start fresh and break into the tech industry.
100% free for Colorado residents
Our program is entirely free for all students, thanks to government grants and support from nonprofit partnerships. We also cover the cost of all certification exams, including CompTIA A+, so you won't have to pay out-of-pocket for your training or credentials.
Help landing a job
We don’t just teach tech fundamentals—we help you secure a job through dedicated career support. This includes things like interview prep, resume crafting, and job search tools. Over 80% of our graduates find tech jobs within a year of completing their training.

Climb Hire's IT Support program

Our IT Support program is ideal for anyone looking to begin a tech career without spending years in school. In just six months, you’ll gain the knowledge and technical experience needed to land an entry-level IT support role.

You’ll work toward the CompTIA A+ certification, a widely recognized credential for IT support professionals. Plus, we foot the bill for both required exams (1101 and 1102). The program covers:

  • Troubleshooting hardware, software, and security issues.
  • Operating systems, mobile devices, networks, and cloud computing.
  • Real-world projects that simulate workplace scenarios.
  • Preparation for the Google IT Support Professional Certificate (optional)
Classes are taught live online by experienced instructors, giving you real-time feedback and a chance to get all your questions answered directly. Students will need to reserve 20 hours a week for learning: 9 hours of class time and 11 hours for project work and assignments.

Career support services

Climb Hire alumni don’t just finish with new skills—they leave with a clear path to employment. Your enrollment includes:

  • Six months of one-on-one coaching from a career advisor.
  • Personalized help writing your resume, crafting your elevator pitch, and building your LinkedIn profile.
  • One year of free LinkedIn Premium to grow your network.
  • Ongoing access to our Alumni Job Portal with exclusive job listings, professional connections, and application tools.

Graduates have gone on to work at companies like Google, BetterUp, and IBM in a range of roles, including technical support specialist and help desk technician.

Extra resources

We know many of our learners juggle jobs, caregiving, and other responsibilities. That’s why we offer support beyond the classroom.

We currently partner with SNAP to help tackle food insecurity—a challenge many of our students face. We’re also working to add services like childcare assistance, assessments for different kinds of learners, and free internet access.

Climb Hire is committed to removing as many barriers as possible so you can succeed.
