When enrollment is open, you’ll want to submit your application with enough time to ensure we can review your application.

• As part of the application, you’ll need to complete an interest assessment to make sure you like learning about what this program offers
• Once you’re accepted, you’ll attend Open House. These occur on a rolling basis, depending on your acceptance date.

After Open House, you’ll attend Tech Orientation where we’ll get you set up with all the accounts you’ll need throughout the program. p get your tech in check as you activate your most frequently used accounts.

• You must live in California or Colorado (new for 2025).
• Be authorized to work in the US
• Be between the ages of 24 and 40
• Have an annual income of $30k or below
• Have a computer with a webcam and microphone (or headset)
• Have 20 hours a week to commit to learning for your selected 6-month session. This includes 9 hours a week of classes, and 11 hours a week for completing assignments and weekly career prep

With the Google IT Support Professional Certification, you’d qualify for jobs like:

• Help Desk Technician, Systems Analyst, Database Administrator, IT Technician, Computer User Specialist, and more.

With successful completion of the the CompTIA A+ 1101 exam, you’d qualify for jobs like:

• Associate Network Engineer, Systems Support Technician, Junior Systems Administrator, Desktop Support Administrator, End-user Computing Technician, System Support Specialist, and more.

With both CompTIA A+ certifications (1101 and 1102), you could qualify for the above roles plus:

• IT Support Specialist, Instructional Technology Specialist, Technology Support Specialist, Field Technician, Tier I Support Specialist, Desktop Support Specialist, Service Desk Analyst, Technical Support Specialist, Field Service Technician, Data Support Technician, and more.

Pay for jobs in full-time entry-level IT Support depends on location, but typically range from $40k – $50k

It’s important to remember that Climb Hire and the IT Support program is an entryway to a new career and higher income. Starting salaries are just that: starting points.

Climb Hire is free for all participants who enroll in 2025. Through partnerships with organizations and funders like Breaking Barriers and MacKenzie Scott’s Yield Giving, we are able to provide free tuition scholarships to all Climb Hire participants who enroll in 2025. That means, if you enroll in Climb Hire this year, the scholarship will cover the cost and it will be 100% free.

You don’t need to fill out any additional paperwork to receive the scholarship as it will automatically be applied. 

If you get accepted to Climb Hire in 2025, you automatically get free tuition. There are no additional forms or eligibility requirements. This was made possible by special grants and funding our team was able to secure for the year and we are excited to offer our program at no cost.

After finishing your learning track, you’ll now be inducted into our circle of Climb Hire alumni and gain access to all the lifetime benefits that come with it. Attend networking events and continue to stay engaged in a thriving community of Climbers.

Alumni who follow our formula below are the ones most likely to find employment within 12 months:

• After the program, your job search journey kicks into high gear. You partner with a Career Development Advisor who provides 1:1 support for 6 months.
• We’ll expect you to apply to at least 20 entry-level jobs a week. In addition, we strongly recommend that you attend alumni-run workshops on interview preparation, resume building, and networking.
• We’ll ask you to make weekly updates to our job search system to reflect the roles and organizations you’ve applied to each month.

• No cost, free tuition for 2025
• We offer accountability and guidance through course content led by professionals with field experience
• You experience Climb Hire’s exclusive Climber and Alumni services, which include 1:1 career support, near-peer support from Climb Hire alumni, and opportunities to engage with industry experts throughout the program.
